Here are a few things to remember when you're buying a dimaond ring.
COMPARE APPLES WITH APPLES
Don't settle for the cheapest option. It's cheaper for a reason. Many Jewellers in South Africa import their diamonds from illegitimate sources, often creating the illusion of quality but make sure to investigate. You might find a great color and clarity stone but with a terrible cut, making the diamond a dud stone. Make sure you look into the cut of the stone as well as other elements such as fluorescence and overtone remarks on the certificate.
CERTIFIED DIAMONDS THROUGH A TRUSTWORTHY SOURCE
Make sure the diamonds are certified through either EGL, GIA or DIA. There are many new companies out there certifying diamonds at much higher grades in order to ultimately charge you more. Be wary of these companies. It is however perfectly legal to sell uncertified diamonds but make sure you are aware of this.

We make our jewellery in-house. This allows us to control both the quality and the cost. We don't believe in cheaply machine-made engagement rings and diamond rings. Our goldsmith's have years of experience working for top global companies. Our quality and finishing is quite simply world-class.
There are many companies out there who either import their jewellery or outsource the manufacturing process. They have no control over quality and production.
